I live on the beautiful western slope of Colorado nestled in the Uncompaghre River Valley just some 70 miles east from the Utah border. Surrounded by the Uncompahgre Plateau to the west, the San Juan Mountains to the south and the Black Canyon National Park to the east, Montrose offers a stunning view of the Rockies. The climate is mild compared to the surrounding mountains (good thing) but still gets cold in the winter. It is very close to the best hunting, fishing hiking, and skiing on the face of the earth.
